A Friendly Robot Gets a New Name

A man named Peter made a friendly robot helper. The robot could do fun things, like help people plan dinner. Peter named his robot Clawdbot. The name was like a friendly lobster monster! Many people liked Clawdbot and used it to help them.

But then, a big company that makes computer robots had a problem. That company is named Anthropic. They have a robot named Claude. They thought the name “Clawdbot” sounded too much like “Claude.” They asked Peter to pick a new name for his robot.

Peter was a little sad, but he knew it was important to be fair and follow the rules. So, Peter chose a new name. He thought of how lobsters grow. When a lobster gets too big for its shell, it sheds it. This is called molting. Peter thought this was a perfect idea! His robot was growing and changing, too. He renamed his robot Moltbot. The little lobster monster mascot got a new name as well: Molty.

Some people who liked the old name were upset. They sent Peter too many messages, which is not kind. Peter asked them to please stop. He wanted everyone to be nice so he could keep making Moltbot better.
