A Big Idea on TV
One day, two best friends named Kate and Samantha had a big idea. They made a new app for phones. An app is a special program on a phone or tablet. Their app was called Left Field. It was a special app to help people meet new friends. They worked very hard on their idea.
Not long ago, in January, something exciting happened. Kate and Samantha got to go on a famous TV show called “Shark Tank.” On this show, people tell their business ideas to smart investors called “Sharks.” The Sharks can give them money to help make their idea bigger.

They had to keep their TV show visit a secret for many months before it was on TV. Now, they can use the money to make their app even better. They want to help people find friends who like the same things they do.
